Appel à candidature | Director of the GReD institute

The iGReD currently comprises 15 research teams working along three interrelated axes:

• genetic and epigenetic control of the genome,
• reproduction, pathophysiology and cancer,
• integrative developmental biology.

Located in a brand-new building on the Medical School campus in Clermont-Ferrand, the Institute provides access to state-of-the-art core facilities and support services. iGReD is affiliated with the CNRS, INSERM and the Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA), a dynamic higher education center with 35 000 students.
The Search Committee for Director of the GReD Institute invites expressions of interest from potential candidates for the position of Director of the Institute starting from the 1st of January 2027 for a 5-year period. She/he should have demonstrated an excellent track record in leadership with highest standards of integrity as well as scientific reputation in a relevant field in line with the iGReD research scope. She/he is also expected to hold a position of Research Director (INSERM or CNRS) or University Professor, and to have demonstrated excellent management as well as communication skills in French and English.
The Director, assisted by a deputy director, will have to define and implement the iGReD strategic vision in close collaboration with the executive committee composed of team leaders, promoting scientific excellence and international visibility. It is expected that the selected future Director will participate in the definition of the strategic vision of the Institute starting from mid 2024. The integration of the new Director and possibly her/his research team into the GReD Institute could precede the official appointment.
